FAQ
If you can’t find your answer here, please contact us
and we will be glad to assist you.
When installing your washing machine, be sure to choose a space that is:
- Dry, level and secure
- Out of direct sunlight
- Well ventilated
- Has a room temperature above 0°C
- Make sure that the space you have chosen is stable and that the washing machine will not sit on top of the power cord
We recommend that you run your Midea Top Loader Washing Machine on a full wash cycle without any clothing inside before washing your first load of laundry.
- Before Washing – Ensure that the power cord is plugged in and the tap connected to the inlet pipe is open. Add detergent and fabric softener as needed into the detergent dispenser drawer. Load your laundry into the washing machine and close the lid.
- Washing – Press the Power button to turn the machine on.
- To use the One Touch Smart Wash feature simply press the Start button to begin washing.
- If you wish to manually select your Washing Programme or Water Level you may do so before pressing the start button to begin washing.
- After Washing – Once the washing has finished the buzzer will sound and power to the washing machine will automatically be shut off. Unload your freshly washed laundry.
Regular cleaning can help extend the lifespan of your Midea Top Loader Washing Machine. The exterior surface of the washing machine can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and using diluted, non-abrasive neutral detergents if necessary. If there is any water overflow wipe it off with a cloth immediately.
Be sure not to use any sharp objects, or damaging cleaning agents such as formic acid, alcohol, or chemical solvents to prevent damage to the machine.
If your Midea Top Loader Washing Machine takes longer than usual to fill with water, you may need to clean the machine’s inlet filter. Always be sure to turn the tap off completely before attempting to clean the inlet filter.
Cleaning the filter in the washing machine:
- Unscrew the inlet pipe from the rear of the washing machine.
- Using a pair of long nose pliers, pull the filter attachment out of the pipe.
- Clean the filter thoroughly using a brush.
- Re-insert the filter into the pipe and reconnect the pipe to the rear of the washing machine.
Cleaning the lint filter:
- There is an additional filter at the rear of your washing machine which helps to collect lint during the wash cycle.
- It is recommended that you wash this filter thoroughly every ten wash cycles.
- Remove the filter fitting from the rear of your washing machine and clean it with water before re-attaching it.
To keep your Midea Top Loader Washing Machine operating efficiently, we recommend regularly cleaning the Drain Pump Filter.
- Before starting, allow any residual water and detergent inside the Drain Pump to cool down completely and unplug the machine to avoid any risk of electrical shock during the clean.
- Carefully open the filter service compartment at the bottom of the washing machine.
- Open the Drain Pump Filter by carefully rotating the lower cap cover counter clockwise.
- Once open, remove any extraneous matter or dirt which has gathered.
- Re-insert the lower cap cover and rotate clockwise until it is securely sealed.
