Serves: 4 • Time: 1 hour

With the Midea InstaFry you can go from pressure cooking to air-frying your meals with just a change of a lid, allowing you to prepare an entire family-sized meal with ease.
Ingredients:
- 5 Beef short ribs (300-400g each)
- 1.5 tsp salt each
- 1.5 tsp pepper each
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2 celery ribs chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cups dry red wine
- 2 cups beef stock/broth
- 2 sprigs thyme & bay leaves
Method:
Pressure cooker:
- Heat olive oil in your Midea InstaFry pot
- Add your finely diced onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes until golden
- Add your carrot and celery and cook until your carrot is soft
- Add tomato paste and cook for 1 minute
- Add two glasses of wine, beef stock and bay leaves. Allow to simmer until the tomato paste has dissolved
- Add your beef short ribs and close your Midea InstaFry lid. Set your timer to cook for 1 hour
- Once complete, let the ribs to rest for 10-15 minutes. Allow the Midea InstaFry to release the pressure naturally – until the pressure valve drops on its own
You have the option of stopping here and serving, but if you want to add additional crisp to your ribs follow the next steps.
Air Fryer:
- Take your short ribs out the Midea InstaFry pot and transfer your sauce into another pot
- Place your ribs in the Midea InstaFry basket and back into the Midea InstaFry
- Place the fryer lid on the pot, select the air fry option and air fry for 10 minutes
Serve with your pap and enjoy!
