Cinnamon Roll-ups with Syrup

Comfort food, the healthy way! Enjoy crispy and delicious cinnamon rolls with syrup this Christmas with your Midea InstaFry. A Midea snack the whole family will enjoy!
Ingredients for Syrup:
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Ingredients for Cinnamon Rolls:
- 2 cups ground nuts
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 12 sheets of frozen phyllo dough
- ½ cup butter
Method:
- Place your syrup ingredients in your Midea InstaFry pot, press the DIY function to start, stir continuously
- Cook the syrup for about 10 mins allowing it to reduce and thicken. Remove the syrup from the pot and set aside to cool.
- Mix your ground nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Take a sheet of phyllo dough and a cup of melted butter. Brush the butter onto the sheet and then fold it in half and brush the top again.
- Add your nut mix to the phyllo sheet. Roll it up lengthwise and cut into 3 pieces.
- Brush the pieces with butter and secure with toothpicks. One on either side and one in the middle of the roll-up. Make sure the toothpick goes all the way through.
- Place the roll-ups into the InstaFry and put on the air fryer lid. Use the air fry function and set the timer to 5 mins.
- After 5 mins remove the lid and serve the roll-ups with your syrup.
