Pot Bread and Chicken Curry Recipe

Pot Bread
Serves: 6 • Time: 2 hour 15 min
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Dough
Method:
- Add your dough to the pot and use the bread setting and set timer for 2 hours. Once done open the pot and flip the bread over and put it on the bake setting for 15 minutes.
Chicken Curry
Serves: 6 • Time: 35 min
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken pieces
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large onion
- tbsp garlic paste
- 3 large tomatoes grated
- cinnamon sticks
- 2 bay leafs
- 2 star aniseed
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- tbsp masala
- 1/2 tsp ground fennel
- black elaichi
- 1 cup water
- 1 large diced potatoes
Method:
- Add the cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, star aniseed and black elaichi and fry
- Add onion and saute until onion is golden brown
- Add ginger/garlic paste and fry for a minute
- Add the chicken together with the masala, cumin, coriander, garam masala and turmeric. Mix well and use the fry option and fry for 10 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and potatoes, season with salt.
- Add a cup of water and allow curry to simmer on low heat until potatoes are soft and tender. Add the dried methi leaves in the last few minutes of cooking time.
- Put on the pressure lid and use the stew setting for 25 minutes.
- Hollow out the bread and put curry inside the hollow. Serve and enjoy.
