Air Fryer
Cinnamon and Toasted Almond Buns
Serves: 12 • Time: 40 min

Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups self-raising flour
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 100g butter, chilled
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
Method:
- Preheat Midea Air Fryer to 180°C
- Combine flour and caster sugar in a bowl before adding half of the butter and rubbing the mixture together until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Mix egg and milk in a jug, and stir into flour mixture to make a soft, sticky dough.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 30 seconds or until smooth.
- Roll the dough out to make a rectangle roughly 30cm x 40cm. Sprinkle walnuts and toasted almonds, topped with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dot the remaining butter across the rolled sheet of dough, and then tightly roll the dough together from one of the long edges.
- Using a serrated knife, trim the ends of the rolled dough, and then divide and slice what remains into 12 slices.
- Place slices into your Midea Air Fryer basket and bake for 22 – 25 minutes or until golden.
- Serve warm, with maple syrup and enjoy!
