Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 Large potatoes (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 Cup warm water
  • 100ml Milk
  • 25g Butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tsp Garlic (optional)
  • 1-2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese (optional)

15 minutes

Method

  1. Place the water in the inner pot
  2. Place the plastic steamer in the pot and put the potatoes on top
  3. Place the lid on the pressure cooker
  4. Turn the menu knob until you reach the “Steam” function (this will default to 10 minutes)
  5. Press start to begin cooking. Music will sound and the cooker will start the countdown once the optimum pressure has been reached inside
  6. When the timer ends, cooker will beep and will switch to the “Keep Warm” function automatically. Press the cancel button
  7. Release the pressure by holding the pressure release button on the top of the lid and then open the lid
  8. Use a colander to drain the potatoes
  9. Mash up the potatoes until chunky and then add in the butter, milk and salt
  10. Keep mashing the potatoes until smooth
  11. Enjoy!

Note: to enhance the flavour of the potatoes, melt the butter in a pot and add in garlic, salt and pepper. Add the milk keeping it at a low simmer and then add in the parmesan cheese. Use this mixture to add to your potatoes
