Soft or Hard Boiled Eggs


  • 250ml cold water
  • Eggs

Any no. of Eggs

Total Time:

7-10 minutes


  1. Pour the cold water into the pressure cooker and place the metal trivet inside
  2. Place your eggs on top of the trivet and close the lid
  3. Turn the menu knob until you reach the “Steam” function
  4. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the time. For soft boiled eggs, adjust the time to 4 minutes. For hard boiled eggs, adjust the time to 6 minutes.
  5. Press start to begin cooking. Music will sound and the cooker will start the countdown once the optimum pressure has been reached inside
  6. When the timer ends, cooker will beep and will switch to the “Keep Warm” function automatically. Press the cancel button
  7. Release the pressure by holding the pressure release button on the top of the lid and then open the lid
  8. Remove the eggs with tongs and place into a bowl of cold water until cool enough to handle
  9. Peel and enjoy!

    So far, I have not had success with hard boiled eggs. At 6 minutes, they are still runny. I also can’t seem to figure out how to adjust pressure on the InstaChef. Does it only have one pressure setting, or can I manually set it to low or high?

    Oh wait, I correct myself – if I allow the eggs sufficient time for a natural pressure release then they are nicely hard-boiled.
